MailChimp has updated their email marketing platform to v7.8, updating their recently introduced drag-and-drop editor and introducing social blocks, among other things.
The drag and drop editor has been updated , this time with social blocks. They allow you to easily add social follow and social share links to your email campaigns.
You get the option to select the icon style and layout as well as the alignment of the social follow block. The social share option allows you to select the content or url to share, a description to add and to select a social network like Facebook or Twitter to share the content or url to.
Other updates include:
– Drag & Drop editor now available for RSS and A/B split campaigns
– Easy styling of items loaded via an RSS feed
– Templates have been added with RSS header and RSS item blocks
The little things:
– Code syntax highlighting
– Native spell checking
– Right-to-left text
– Keyboard shortcuts
– Color picker improvements
And more. See the whole post detailing all the new stuff on the MailChimp blog here.
