Silverpop Email Insights launched: analytics, testing and preferred device customization

With email read on more different devices than ever, Silverpop Email Insights has been launched. The tool is powered by Litmus. It is meant to give an idea of which email clients and devices email subscribers are using. A total of 30 email clients across several platforms are supported (see below).
Next to that, Silverpop Email Insights allows for having a ‘preffered device’ per email subscriber, to make sure the email you send out is formatted correctly for their device. Also, it’s not just about the email being formatted: it’s possible to send targeted content based on a subscriber’s preffered device. The new Email Insights tool is part of Silverpop’s Emerging Apps suite. These apps are meant to improve on the functionality of Silverpop Engage: its marketing automation platform.
Lastly but not leastly, the tool will show how an email looks per selected device: this gives you the option to optimize the formatting of the email for correct display on the device. Responsive design and code are expected come into play here, with media queries helping to adjust content for different screen resolutions. This saves you making many different emails for many devices.
Ultimately this will give marketers the chance to increase conversion from email marketing by getting their message across to subscribers as best as possible.
